FAQ
LASHES: IS EVERYONE SUITABLE?
Most clients are great candidates for lash extensions or lash lift & tint treatments. However, suitability depends on the health of your natural lashes and eye area.
You may not be a candidate if you:
-
Have an active eye infection or irritation
-
Are experiencing severe allergies affecting the eyes
-
Have very weak or damaged natural lashes
-
Recently had eye surgery (clearance from your doctor may be required)
During your consultation, we’ll assess your natural lashes and discuss the best option for you. If lash extensions aren’t ideal, we’ll always recommend a safer alternative—like a lash lift—to ensure beautiful results without compromising your lash health.
Your safety and lash integrity always come first 🤍
LASHES: SEASONAL SHEDDING
Just like the hair on your head, your natural lashes go through growth cycles. During seasonal changes—most commonly in the fall and spring—you may notice increased lash shedding.
This is completely normal.
Your body adjusts to temperature, daylight, and environmental changes, which can temporarily speed up the natural lash cycle. When this happens, more natural lashes may shed at once, meaning your extensions may appear to thin out faster than usual.
What this means for you:
-
You may need fills slightly sooner during shedding season
-
Retention can feel a bit shorter temporarily
-
It is not caused by your lash tech or poor application
The good news? It usually lasts 4–8 weeks and then returns to your normal growth cycle.
We’ll always adjust your fill schedule as needed to keep your lashes looking full and beautiful year-round 🤍
PERMANENT MAKEUP: FADING
Despite the name, it is not truly permanent.
Unlike traditional body tattoos, permanent makeup is placed more superficially in the skin and uses pigments specifically formulated to fade over time. This is intentional — it allows us to refresh and adjust your shape and colour as trends, skin tone, and personal preferences evolve.
Why Does It Fade?
Fading happens naturally due to:
-
Your body’s immune response breaking down pigment
-
Sun exposure
-
Skincare products (especially retinol, acids, exfoliants)
-
Skin type (oily skin may fade faster)
-
Lifestyle factors
Most clients will need:
-
An initial touch-up 6–8 weeks after their first session
-
A colour refresh every 1–3 years to maintain vibrancy
Over time, the pigment will gradually soften and lighten rather than disappear overnight.
Our goal is always soft, natural enhancement — never harsh, over-saturated results. Proper aftercare and maintenance appointments will keep your permanent makeup looking fresh and beautiful long term 🤍
PERMANENT MAKEUP: CAN YOU COVER UP OLD PMU?
In many cases, yes — but it depends on the existing pigment.
Every previous permanent makeup result is different. The ability to cover or correct old PMU depends on:
-
How dark or saturated the existing pigment is
-
The shape and placement of the previous work
-
Whether the pigment has faded evenly
-
If there are colour changes (grey, blue, red, etc.)
-
How much time has passed since the last procedure
If the previous work is very dark, uneven, or sits outside a flattering shape, removal or lightening sessions may be required before new work can be done safely and beautifully.
It’s important to understand that permanent makeup is not like applying regular makeup — we can’t simply “hide” poor shape or heavily saturated pigment. The integrity of your skin and long-term results always come first.
A consultation (with clear photos in natural lighting) is required before booking a cover-up. This allows us to determine whether:
-
A colour correction is possible
-
A full reshaping can be done
-
Lightening/removal is recommended first
Our goal is to create balanced, natural results — not layer over something that may compromise your final outcome.
If you’re unsure, send photos before booking so we can guide you in the right direction 🤍
BODY CONTOURING: DOES IT REALLY WORK?
Yes — when you’re a good candidate and have realistic expectations.
Body contouring treatments are designed to reduce stubborn fat pockets, improve skin firmness, and enhance natural shape. They are not weight-loss treatments, but they can help refine areas that don’t respond to diet and exercise.
Results depend on:
-
The type of technology used
-
The treatment area
-
Your body composition
-
Lifestyle habits (hydration, movement, nutrition)
-
Completing the recommended number of sessions
Most clients see gradual improvements over a series of treatments. The body needs time to naturally process and eliminate targeted fat cells, so results continue developing for several weeks after each session.
You may be a good candidate if you:
-
Are close to your goal weight
-
Have small, stubborn areas you’d like to contour
-
Maintain a relatively stable lifestyle
Body contouring works best as a body-sculpting enhancement — not a replacement for healthy habits.
During your consultation, we’ll assess your goals and determine whether you’re a strong candidate. If it’s not the right fit, we’ll always be honest and guide you accordingly
BODY CONTOURING: HOW OFTEN CAN IT BE DONE?
Treatment frequency depends on the type of body contouring technology being used and the area being treated.
Most non-invasive body contouring treatments are performed:
-
Every 1–2 weeks
-
In a series of 4–8 sessions
-
With maintenance treatments as needed
Your body needs time between sessions to naturally process and eliminate targeted fat cells. Doing treatments too close together does not speed up results — and spacing them properly actually gives you better, safer outcomes.
During your consultation, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan based on:
-
Your goals
-
The treatment area
-
Your body composition
-
The specific device being used
Consistency is key — and sticking to your recommended schedule gives you the best visible contouring results
MICRONEEDLING: IS IT EFFECTIVE AND WILL IT HURT?
Yes — microneedling is highly effective when performed properly and completed in a series.
Microneedling works by creating controlled micro-channels in the skin, stimulating your body’s natural collagen and elastin production. Over time, this helps improve:
-
Fine lines and wrinkles
-
Acne scarring
-
Skin texture and enlarged pores
-
Pigmentation
-
Overall firmness and glow
Results build gradually, with noticeable improvement after a series of treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
Does It Hurt?
Most clients describe the treatment as mildly uncomfortable but very tolerable.
We apply a medical-grade numbing cream before the procedure to minimize discomfort. You may feel a light scratching or vibrating sensation during treatment, especially in thinner areas like the forehead.
Afterwards, your skin may feel warm — similar to a mild sunburn — for 24–48 hours.
Redness is normal and typically subsides within a few days.
Your comfort and skin health are always prioritized. We adjust depth and intensity based on your skin type, concern, and tolerance level to ensure safe, effective results
